Funny The Way It Is Review
Dave Matthews Band had a couple of goals for their upcoming album, Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King: Pay tribute to saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who died last year, and make an album that rose to the heights of their live shows. The first single - a series of riffs on life's unfairness - is more dynamic and darker than most DMB songs. Produced by Green Day maestro Rob Cavallo, the guitars snarl, the riffs have sharp edges and the drums pop like fireworks. This song takes a few listens to sink in, but there's goose-bump potential.
